Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering is a unique institution that provides each student with a full-ride scholarship to study engineering in a way that breaks the typical mold.  This recent upstart purchased land from Babson and resides directly next to the business school in Needham, MA.  Students from both campuses often cross enroll in various classes from either institution.  The CEO Intern project aims to give engineering students the opportunity to participate in a real world experience and hone their ambitions in entrepreneurship before they graduate.  Students from Olin College will have the exciting opportunity to overlap business with engineering in a company that operates in an industry that is both unique and challenging.

“You’re not going to go into a job and get a thermodynamics problem set,” says Meenakshi Vembusubramanian, a student at Olin. “You’re going to have a problem that’s badly defined.”

Students from Olin will have to deal with a badly defined problem when they come to improve a business for the summer.  With so many variables, students will have to focus in on several problem areas and discover new ways to manage the typical inefficiencies of business.
